We are Saint Elias Melkite Catholic Church: Our church is an eastern Christian church of the Byzantine tradition with Middle Eastern origins located in Brooklyn, OH (Cleveland). Our church community in Cleveland has existed for over a century following the orthodox faith and is a Catholic church in full communion with the Holy See in Rome.
We celebrate the Divine Life and encourage you to come celebrate with us: All are welcome to attend Divine Liturgy and participate in prayer and fasting. Those who are baptized and confirmed in a Catholic or Eastern Orthodox church, and are in good standing with the church, may be a participant in our Holy Mysteries (Sacraments). Those who are interested in learning more about the teachings of Christ, our traditions, and Church history are encouraged to join us for Bible study, religious education, and individual and group meetings with the church pastor.
We serve all members of our community: Our church provides help and support to those who are less fortunate and poor regardless of religious or cultural affiliation. We are involved in community activities including hosting mobile pantries, collecting and distributing clothing, and participating in donation and fundraising activities and events for local hospitals and non-profits both within our community and abroad.
Come and join us in our mission of serving God through the Divine Life and by serving others.
